Recommendations are based on continued participation in Community Ed classes, love for gymnastics, strength, flexibility, skill level and need for a challenge and commitment beyond their current class. We invite children to participate on the pre-team for a predetermined time frame based on the time of year. At the close of that time frame we recommend whether the student should continue on pre-team, move to a community education class or on to the Xcel competition team. A credit card will be saved on file for monthly fee of $69, or you may choose to pay in full $207 - June 1, July 1 and Aug 1. Pre-Team will practice on Mondays 5:30-7pm. Set Design Basics & Prop DesignEnrichmentIn this hands-on class, students will learn how to design and build sets and props for a live theatrical production. Students will explore the basics of scenic design, prop construction, and visual storytelling while working collaboratively to support an upcoming show. The class will cover reading a script for design clues, creating sketches and plans, selecting materials, and safely building and finishing stage elements. By the end of the course, students will see their designs come to life onstage, gaining real-world experience in the technical side of theater and an understanding of how design choices shape a performance.Summer 2026 -

Speed & Strength Grades 5-12 | Day One Summer Sports PerformanceRecreationBack again!! Big Lake Community Education and Big Lake Schools are working again with Day One Sports Performance! This partnership will bring summer workout sessions to our student athletes that focus on warming up the body, speed and agility work, weights (bands, bodyweight exercise), finishing challenges, and stretching. No previous workout experience is necessary. Program sessions are planned out based on age/group participating and a specific sport/activity focus.
