Horse Camp Ages 6-15 yrs.EnrichmentKids will learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! Campers get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40min-50min (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on their own. They also might make horse treats, do a craft, and play games. And don't forget the time to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age, which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders! PARENT Drop-off is at 9am and PARENT pickup is 3pm. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. Intro to Medical TerminologyEnrichmentMedical terminology is the first step to any career in the medical field or simply to understand your family's medical visits. No prior experience is necessary. This highly specialized language involves word building with root words, prefixes, suffixes, and abbreviations. you will leave with a solid foundation of medical language, as well as basic medical billing and coding terminology. After submitting and passing the open-book exam included in the workbook you receive in class. you will earn a Certificate of Completion. Let's Probate An Actual Minnesota EstateEnrichmentIn this class we will walk-thru (in depth) an actual Minnesota Probate Estate from the filing of the Application for Probate to the Final Accounts . . . and all the steps in between. Class participants will learn the entire process with current forms, Court and filing requirements, accounting and procedural steps, as well as the procedures for the sale and distribution of estate assets. We will also discuss the roles, responsibilities, and liabilities of a person who is appointed as the Executor/Personal Representative. The class will be filled with real-life examples and solutions to the multitude of issues involving a typical (or not typical) Minnesota Probate Estate. This class encourages questions: Is there a “reading of the Will”? What about personal items? Does the Executor get paid? What about estate bills and creditors? Children are taught by a licensed teacher and one assistant in a safe and nurturing environment. Little Learners Outdoors! -- Everything you love about our Little Learners program plus the additional benefits of an outdoor nature experience using the MN DNR Project Learning Tree and Project Wild curriculum. The majority of Little Learners Outdoors is outside exploring trails, woods and our dynamic nature classrooms while still incorporating all the key learning curriculum. Students spend minimal time inside each day, but do have a designated indoor classroom if the weather is unsuitable for us to be outdoors.
