Gymnastics Advanced Approval Needed
This class serves those who are no longer a fit for the intermediate level class. This class is by instructor invitation only. Approval is needed to take this class, please contact CE Gymnastics email: cegymnastics@biglakeschools.org. If you have been pre-approved previously, please register online. NOTE: Please do not register for this course unless you have been PRE-APPROVED by a coach. Gymnastics Beginner | Ages 5-6
This class is for 5-6 year olds. You will practice gymnastics skills and terminology on all four events (vault, uneven bars, floor, and balance beam). In Big Lake Community Education we offer an age-based gymnastics program where we work hard to get to know your child and help them improve their gymnastics from whatever skill level they are currently at. Note: If a class is full, please still put your child on our waiting lists as class sizes are changed/added closer to the first class date. Gymnastics Parent/Child | 18 months-3 years
Work together with your child as you practice different activities such as walking on a beam, throwing rings, forward and backward rolls, wall walkers, jumps, bear crawls and so much more. Gymnastics Preschool | Ages 4-5 yrs.
This class is for independent child participation. The class will help with coordination and body awareness. Your child will go through many activities throughout the gym learning basic gymnastics skills. Children must be potty trained and a parent must remain for the duration of class. Note: If class is showing full when registering, please put your student on the waitlist as class sizes/additions change closer to the first class date. High School Off-Season Gymnastics Training Grades 7-12
For these classes you must be able to: go over the vault table without spot, go to the high bar without help, and complete a front tuck and round off backhand spring on floor. You must also be willing to participate in all events, drills and stations with a good attitude. No prorated amounts will be allowed. PRE-TEAM Gymnastics Ages 4.5-7 yrs - Pre-Approval Needed
Big Lake Pre-Team Sept-May, 2027 "Please contact Amy or Lanny at: cegymnastics@biglakeschools.org" This group is for ages 4.5-7 and is invite only based on coaches recommendation. Recommendations are based on continued participation in Community Ed classes, love for gymnastics, strength, flexibility, skill level and need for a challenge and commitment beyond their current class. We invite children to participate on the pre-team for a predetermined time frame based on the time of year. At the close of that time frame we recommend whether the student should continue on pre-team, move to a community education class or on to the Xcel competition team. A credit card will be saved on file for monthly fee of $75. Fridays Sept. 11-Nov. 13 meet 6-7:30 pm | Times will be updated for Winter/Spring practices follow BAND app for details.
