** Summer Basketball Boys Grades 4-6 Skills, Camp and Combo ** Improve your basketball skills this Summer with practices lead by Big Lake High School Coaching Staff and High School Players. Our mission is to provide a complete, in-depth basketball experience for boys entering grades 4th through 6th grades. We welcome boys of all abilities who are interested in learning more about the game of basketball. In addition, Big Lake coaches will teach drills that players can use throughout the summer. All practices are held at Big Lake High School Gyms 1 & 2 and some in Gyms 1-3. Our most important camp goal - HAVE FUN!! ** 3 Options Available ** 1. Basketball Summer Skills MS/HS Boys | Grades 7-12
Middle School/High School Boys Summer Skills narrows its focus from an overall skills camp and specifically teaches the individual skills needed to be a successful player in today's game. Instructor: Big Lake HS Boys Basketball Coaches will lead this session with the following skills: *Developing ball handling and dribbling *Creating space for yourself and others *Finishing moves around the basket *Shooting: Rhythm and Repetition *Defensive stance, footwork and movement *Understanding and executing skills coaches look for *Skill work for one hour and organized games to apply the skills for 30 minutes either in a 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5 setting. Please note that these practices meet at various dates/times - please refer to confirmation details. Note: Athletes are not required, but are strongly recommended to also register for Sports Speed & Strength 6:45-8 am session or the 8-9:15am session before May 15th. -

DASH - Athleticism
DASH Sports Summer Athleticism camps provide participants with an overall athleticism building camp experience including speed training, agility, endurance, body control/balance, quickness, strength, power, and jumping. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall athletic performance. All participants will be evaluated and timed on the first and last day of camp on several athletic tests.Campers should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle, snack, and wear athletic clothing and shoes. -

DASH Sports Basketball Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of basketball through fun skill-based drills and mini-games. Players will be taught how to properly dribble, pass, shoot, and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle & wear athletic clothing & clean tennis shoes. Balls are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group. -

DASH Sports Summer Cheer camps provide athletes with an introduction to cheerleading. Campers will learn several cheers with focus on body control, jumping, and proper hand movements. Emphasis will be placed on sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude! Athletes should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle and a snack. -

DASH Sports Summer Flag Football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with scrimmages/games the final day where players can showcase their skills. Athletes should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle and a snack (spikes/cleats, and mouthguards are optional). Flag belts, and football are provided. -

DASH Sports SNAG Golf Summer camps provide participants instruction on golf fundamentals using the Starting New At Golf (SNAG) program. Putting, chipping, pitching, and driving the ball work with this adapted equipment developed with a youngster's height and small hands in mind, creating a fun learning and playing experience. Participants should wear sunscreen and bring water and a snack. All equipment is provided. -
DASH - Multi-Sport Camp
DASH Sports Summer Multi-Sport camp includes fun skills training and games in three sports: Soccer, Baseball & Flag Football. Key sports skills will be taught and practiced in all 3 sports so athletes will come out of camp with a great understanding of key skill components and gameplay of each sport. Camp ends with games/scrimmages the final day for each sport, where athletes can showcase their skills. Campers should wear wear athletic shoes & clothing. sunscreen, bring a water bottle, baseball glove and snack. This a great camp that produces well rounded individuals. DASH Sports Sampler camps provide players with an introductory experience to two popular sports games. This camp includes instruction in Soccer and T-Ball. Little athletes will learn how to run, throw, catch, kick & more! This camp ends on the final day with fun scrimmages and games. Participants should bring a baseball glove, water bottle and wear athletic clothing and shoes. All other equipment is provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3 yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group. -

NEW! DASH Sports MLS GO Summer Soccer Mini-Leagues provide players a well-rounded soccer experience covering a broad range of soccer skills (dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense) training and scrimmages and games. This camp consists of one day of skills training followed by 3 days of games (2 per day for a total of 6 games). Athletes should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle and a snack (spikes and shin guards are optional). Balls are provided. Each participant has the option to register with MLS GO uniform consisting of a jersey, shorts, and socks or no jersey. -

DASH Sports Summer Lacrosse camps provide participants a no-contact introductory experience to the game. Athletes will learn basic lacrosse fundamentals including stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting all in a fun, non-checking environment. This is a non-contact camp, helmets, gloves, and mouthguards are not required, but can be brought with and worn. Sticks and safety lacrosse balls are provided. Participants should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle and snack. -
