Archery Club
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Join us for the third season of Big Lake Archery Club! Archers come together to share in their love for archery in a fun, confidence building, and team focused environment taught by certified NASP BAI coaches. Kids of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to join the team with newcomers to the sport needing to attend the Intro to Archery Club pre-season class. Equipment is available for students to borrow during the season. If using your own bow, it must be a Genesis Original bow. Tournament competition registration and tournament jersey purchase will be separate and al a carte style to match your archers needs. If your archer will be competing in tournaments, please make sure you purchase a tournament jersey. Register and purchase a tournament jersey before Jan. 1st to have before our first tournament. Register before December 1st, to receive your free practice shirt in the first order. A second practice shirt order will be placed at the end of December for those that register on or after 12/01. 4th-12th graders will be eligible for NASP tournament competition while 3rd graders will only be eligible for NASP Junior tournaments and Team participation in Juniors Tournaments is TBD if MN is hosting any Juniors tournaments. Please also keep in mind your child must attend school at Indy STEM Elementary, Big Lake Middle or Big Lake High School/Online to be eligible for tournament competition. To review NASP Tournament rules, visit their website here. The practice jersey will be the same one as the 25-26 season so indicate while registering if your archer does not need a new one. Our mandatory pre-season Parent Meeting will be held in the Indy Elementary Cafeteria at a date and time that is TBD. This meeting is for ALL archery families regardless if you were on the team last year. Team and individual pictures will be taken on (date/time is TBD) with Lommel Photography at the Indy STEM Elementary cafeteria. Arrive slightly before photo session start time in your tournament jersey or practice shirt (if you don't have a tournament jersey) for the full team picture then stay to take your individual photo afterwards. We will pass out photo order sheets at practices in Jan. You can also pre-order online with Lommel as we get closer to photo date by following the link here- (link to come) Register for team early as spots will fill up quickly! Use the waiting list if your preferred section is full as we might be able to open more slots up during certain practice times. No practice will be held on STEM night at Indy, which is schedule for Wed. March 10th at this time. Want some Archery Team swag? *Information to come!**Note- All team members must be enrolled in a bullseye practice time slot to pay for your place on the team. The 3D practices are "free" to register on Arux with the caveat that you have also registered your archer in a Bullseye practice to confirm their place on the team. Big Lake Dance Team Mini Camp & Performance Grades K-6
Back Again!! Our Big Lake High School Dance Team will teach a routine to elementary kids, then perform it during halftime at the Varsity home football game on Friday, Sept. 11th. Students will practice 2 times before this event (Tues/Thu. Sept. 8 & 10 from 4:30-5:30pm. A t-shirt will be provided - please list your student's size when registering. Please also have your student wear black leggings, tennis shoes and hair pulled back if possible. Dancers will remain in the stands with their parents until called down to gather for the performance a few minutes before the end of the 2nd quarter. Each Dancer will receive free admission to the game. Basketball TYKES: DASH Sports Basketball TYKES camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of basketball through fun skill-based drills and mini-games. Players will be taught how to properly dribble, pass, shoot, and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle & wear athletic clothing & shoes. Flag Football: DASH Sports flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, & defense will be taught & practiced, & players will be grouped & challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, & Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes/cleats & mouthguards are optional). Footballs & flag belts are provided. The final day of classes is ‘Game Day’ and athletes will showcase their skills in a game environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle and a baseball glove. Baseballs and bats are provided. Campers will be tested/timed & re-tested on several events. Friday Night Ski/Snowboard Trips | Grades 6-12
New to skiing or snowboarding? Lessons are available. Need a lift ticket, equipment or lessons? We have a package that will suit your needs. Buses depart from the back of the High School Loading Dock (Door I) shortly after class dismissal 3:30 pm. Buses return to the front of the high school at approximately 9:30 pm. Door N. All participants must ride the bus to and from Powder Ridge. NOTE: Middle School students you may store your equipment by the courtyard doors before school. High School students equipment will be stored in Room #E111. Please remember to fill out all questions online for this registration. Payment is to be made in full at time of registration. No scholarships will be available for these trips. In case of inclement weather and a trip is cancelled it will be added to the end of schedule. You will be notified of cancellations via announcements at MS and HS, email and text notifications. Deadline to register is Sunday, December 4th at 11:59 pm. Intro to Archery
Join us for this exciting class which is mandatory for first time archers and those that need a refresher before Club starts or for anyone new to archery and wanting to try out the sport before signing up for the Archery Team. Volleyball Skills
