Art Club
Due to popular demand... The Art Club has returned! Art enthusiasts rejoice! If you are interested in the exciting world of visual art and would like a fun and safe space to create and share art with your friends, then you belong in the Art Club. Two Thursdays each month we meet in Mr. Kedrowski's classroom after school to visit and create art in a shared studio space. Everyone is welcome and free to work at their own pace in whichever way they see fit. -
Code Championship Tournament Series | Virtual Computer Coding Competition
Build a computer bot to compete against other coders! Whether you're new or experienced, this is the perfect way to explore competitive coding. No previous coding experience is necessary. The Cod Championship Series is four online tournaments hosted on Google meet. If you have a modern browser, no download is required. Players must be able to navigate the internet. Color Me Sweet: Pastel Petals Cookie Decorating
Let your creativity bloom in this sweet springtime workshop designed just for young bakers! In Pastel Petals cookie decorating, kids will learn the basics of cookie design using soft pastel colors, floral themes, and fun icing techniques. From pretty petals to adding sparkly details, each participant will decorate their own set of sugar cookies to take home and share (or keep all to themselves - we won't tell!). This hands-on class encourages artistic expression, builds kitchen confidence, and celebrates the joy of spring through sugar and smiles. All supplies are provided - just bring your imagination and a love for cookies! -
Connections: Dungeons & Dragons
Ms. Picka's excited to invite you to play Dungeons & Dragons and welcome other students who may wish to explore different games during this time. Snacks will be provided but students are also welcome to bring their own snacks and/or snacks to share. Students can be picked up after at the main entrance. -
DASH Flag Football Camp
DASH Sports Summer Flag Football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced daily, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with scrimmages/games the final day where players can showcase their skills. Athletes should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle and a snack (spikes/cleats, and mouth guards are optional). Flag belts, and football are provided. -
DASH Flag Football Tykes Camp
DASH Sports Flag Football Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of football in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced. Fun, skill-based games will be played to practice newly learned skills. Athletes should bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothing & shoes (spikes/cleats are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3 yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group. -
DASH Floor Hockey Little Tykes
DASH Sports Floor Hockey Tykes camps provide little athletes an introductory hockey experience covering a broad range of skills training and skill-based games. Players will be taught how to properly stickhandle, pass, and shoot in a fun and positive environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothing & shoes. Sticks and pucks are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group. -
DASH Pickleball Camp
Pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. DASH Sports Summer Pickleball will provide participants with an introductory experience to the game in a fun and positive atmosphere. Emphasis is on technique and game play. Key elements of serving, returning, volleys, overheads, and lobbing will be taught and practiced. Camp ends with games on the final day. Participants should wear athletic wear, and bring a water bottle. Campers also should bring a pickleball paddle (if you don’t have one, we will provide paddles). Balls and all other equipment are provided. -
DASH Soccer Skills Camp
Soccer: DASH Sports soccer camps provide players a well-rounded soccer experience covering a broad range of soccer skills training (dribbling, passing, shooting, & defense) and skill-based games. Players will be challenged and grouped at an appropriate level while receiving instruction in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage on the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes and shin guards are optional). Balls are provided. DASH T-Ball Tykes
Looking for a fun introduction to baseball? DASH Sports T-Ball Tykes camp introduces players to key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and base running. The final day of classes is ‘Game Day’ and athletes will showcase their skills in a game environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle and a baseball glove. Baseballs and bats are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-4 yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group. -
DASH Track & Field Camp
DASH Sports Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: Sprinting, javelin throwing, shotput, relay running, jumping and distance running. Campers will be tested/timed and re-tested on several events. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should bring a water bottle and wear athletic shoes. -

Flag Football Girls High School
RETURNING! Flag Football for Girls Grades 9-12 in Big Lake!! ** Registration closes March 27th ** Calling all 9th-12th grade girls! This spring our Girls Flag Football team will be returning to Big Lake in collaboration with the Minnesota Vikings! Games are on Sundays (player transportation provided) and practices are during the week at times that do not interfere with other spring sports if you are a multi-sport athlete. Gymnastics High School Off-Season Training Grades 7-12
** High School Off-Season Spring Training Grades 7-12 ** Please email: cegymnastics@biglakeschools.org to be invited on BAND app! We want a room full of hard working athletes every week. We also ask that if you are attending or classes that you, at a minimum, can go over the vault table without spot, go to the high bar without help, can complete a front tuck and round off back handspring on floor and are willing to participate in all events, drills and stations with a good attitude. Although much of the skill level in class is even above that, if you cannot or are not willing to do the things on that list you will not be able to effectively learn in the large and fast paced classes we host. "We do not have full commitments from coaches yet and anticipate adding more coaches to classes that do not have more than one coach listed yet. "Waiting List/Cancellation Policy Details": If upon confirmation of your gymnasts enrollment in a class you decide it is not longer needed, and we have others on our waiting list, you will be charged a $7 cancellation fee less any practices your gymnast attended at $10/hr rate. This class is for independent child participation. The class will help with coordination and body awareness. Hornet Baseball Clinic
The Hornet baseball team coaching staff along with high school players will be working in small groups on drills and activities that the high school program uses. Areas we will be working on are: infield, outfield, and hitting. Join us for a look into what skills are emphasized at the high school level, yet broken down so younger players can have success doing them. Athletes should bring a full water bottle and their personal equipment such as baseball glove, bat, and helmet. They should be wearing clothing they an be active in and gym shoes.
