Classes are held at the beautiful yoga studio at RiverWell Movement in Monticello, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants. Designed to be accessible for everyone—from beginners to experienced practitioners, each class offers options and modifications to meet individual needs and abilities. All yoga props are provided, allowing you to simply arrive, move, and enjoy the practice.+ Yin Yoga: Meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues – ligaments, joints, fascia, and bones – rather than muscles. Yin is about stillness and surrender. Quiet and passive practice encourages mindfulness, emotional balance, and physical flexibility.+ Hatha Yoga: Foundational style of yoga that focuses on building strength, balancing the body and mind through physical postures, breathing techniques, and mindful awareness. Typically, a slower- pace, with some holds in postures, emphasis on proper body alignment, breath control, and conscious movement.+ Pranayama: Conscious regulation of breath to influence the flow of energy within the body and mind. Breathing techniques serve as a bridge between the external physical practices as the internal meditative practices.+ Kundalini Yoga: Yoga of Consciousness, Kundalini Yoga combines specific movements, pranayama, sound, and meditation, offering a powerful, multidimensional approach to healing and personal growth.+ Vinyasa Yoga: Dynamic and flowing style of yoga that links breath with movements. Each posture transitions smoothly into the next, creating a moving meditation that builds strength, flexibility, and focus. Vinyasa offers a creative sequencing and balance between effort and ease. + Restorative Yoga: Inward- focused practice designed to bring deep stillness to the body and mind. Through guided instruction and hands-on practice, you will gain a deeper understanding of thefermentation process, learn practical techniques for successful fermenting, and create your own delicious,probiotic-rich foods. Each class includes samples of fermented products, step-by-step recipes, and your own hand-preparedcreations to take home. Participants will leave with the knowledge, skills, recipes, and fermented foods needed to continue exploring this traditional and rewarding practice in their own kitchens.+ Sept 10 | Kombucha: An effervescent fermented tea drink that is full of probiotic delight. Known for its fizzy composure, it is also a functional drink loaded with B-vitamins and antioxidants. (1-gallon jar not included in set up). Supply Fee: $6+ Sept 17 | Lacto-fermented Vegetables: Hands-on preservation of vegetables in a salt-based brine. We will be working with two well-known kitchen staples, carrots and garlic. You’ll be able to reach into your fridge and grab your easily prepared garlic and crunch on your nutrient boosted carrots, any time you want! Supply Fee: $13+ Sept 24 | Sauerkraut & Vegan Kimchi: Guided step-by-step through the fermentation process, participants will learn how to prepare these nutritious staples from scratch and gain the confidence to recreate them at home again and again. Whether experimenting with unique flavor combinations or sticking to classic recipes, these adaptable ferments offer endless possibilities for customization and enjoyment.
